How did Christinaity change this culture?

Christianity changed the Sawi culture dramatically as it evolved from a culture that was either hunt or be hunted. This is proven by the "fattening for friendship" mindset they had for revenge against another tribes. Christianity was able to change the perspectives that the Sawi held towards one another and towards other tribes that were perceived as rivals. Through Christianity the Sawi were able to relate to the peace children that they gave to other tribesmen as sacrifice. This allowed the Sawi to establish that the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus represents the true peace child. As he sacrificed himself so that we can continue to change the word like he had. Christianity showed the Sawi that Jesus is the peace child of us all. Christianity allowed the rivalries between the different tribes to cease and that nothing will ever change if we never forgive. To be able to forgive is what allows relationships to grow stronger just like how God forgives our sins. Even though we all have different identities, opinions, skin colours, and morals that we are all the same in Christ. We are the brothers and sisters of Christ and that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

What does Jesus want us to do for the Sawi?

I think that Jesus wants us to not judge, despise, loathe the Sawi but rather to give them a second chance as he did for us so that we could rejoice with him forever in Heaven. Jesus would not dwell on the past performances of the Sawi but instead be joyful in the fact that they have turned to him. The Sawi are like the outcasts of society they are new to the experiences and challenges: they won’t always succeed in trying to fit in but it is our responsibility as brothers and sisters of Christ, we keep them on the right path. We don’t ridicule their mistakes instead we nurture and help them. As we have been given as second chance they too deserve to have a second chance because through Jesus we can do all things. We too have the chance to change the world for the better just like Jesus did.

How does faith relate to the world we live in?

Faith today, relates to the world we live in as it has helped to create the foundations of those who search the world for purpose in their lives, those who believe that they truly have no place in the world, those who live in black and white, and those who just don’t care. Faith is the one strong point where it has importance in the world because not only does/can faith define who you are it also allows people to freely express spiritually their viewpoints on the world. These viewpoints are what has helped change and structure the world that we live in today. For example Christians. As a Christian we perceive the world differently from those who are “non-believers”. We believe that God is creator of all, that we should abide by the ten commandments, and that we should repent our sins because is what we believe it right in our faith unlike “non-believers”. The faith that everyone holds in the world affect the decisions that we make, the thoughts that we have, the mistakes and regrets that we have, and the challenges we face. In my perspective, I believe that faith has the ability to bring one another together e.g, showing one person the way to Christ. Or the ability to tear one another apart e.g, by blaming the faith they have for events that seem at the time unfair they soon become consumed by hate and anger that they turn away from what is right.
